The main objective of the Rainfall-Runoff model is to assess storm runoff and groundwater recharge out of readily available data stored in the central database: This may either be spatial data (GIS data) or monitoring data from the central relational database.
Data is written back partly to local databases (in MS-Access format), partly to the central database in order to share the results with other users.
The main modelling is performed through application of Golden Software's Surfer 7 grid machine. Thus, this program needs to be installed locally for the model to function.
