2. User guide
The parameters log is accessible through the following button:
that is present on selection criteria forms for all modules except the additional resources module. The described example is from the municipal module. For all other modules that use the parameters log, the form looks identically, except that different logged sessions are displayed. This button is available at any time in all modules, except in the losses module. There, it is available at the same time when the spatial selection button is available (enabled), due to the special requirements in that module (any further processing is allowed only after the level is selected). By clicking the described button, a new form appears, containing a list of all sessions logged in the database.
Sessions are filtered by the module type and database option (WIS or test) selected. Buttons on the form have the following functionality:
The Create new, Update and Export buttons display an additional little form.
When creating a new session or exporting it to the other database, the user is offered a session name. It is generated in the form:
<module type><user name><YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS>
Also, the user may enter some notes as a free text, further describing the session.
For Update, the session identifier is preserved and the user cannot modify it. To copy an existing session under a different name, first it should be loaded, and then the Create new button should be used.
For Create and Export operations, the user may modify the session identifier, entering some more acceptable value. But, a check is performed and the identifier may not collide with any existing session identifier.
The Ok button performs the corresponding operation, after a final confirmation from the user.
The Cancel button closes the form without performing any changes in the database.
